Job Description

Job Title: Grounds Person

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Grounds Person to join our garden team at THE PIG-on the beach, Studland, Dorset. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's grounds, ensuring they are well-presented and functional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the hotel's lawns, trees, and formal borders to the highest standard.
  • Assist the Head Grounds Person in overseeing the functionality of the hotel grounds.
  • Interact with guests daily, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Contribute to animal husbandry, including caring for pigs, chickens, and quails.
  • Maintain and operate garden machinery, including petrol strimmers and mowers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably with PA1 & PA6 usage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and bending.
