About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Maritime Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex maritime infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design.
  • Grow, develop and manage civil engineering capability within the practice.

Requirements

  • Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, the berthing and mooring of vessels and the transit of people and goods around the globe.
  • Working experience with current UK and European design standards including BS6349.
