The estimated salary for this role is £26,265.95 - £28,660.26 per annum, dependant on qualifications.

Job Description

As an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in the classroom and assisting with the delivery of lessons. You will also be required to lead classes in the absence of any Class Teachers and assist with carrying out professional duties as outlined in the Professional Standards for Teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the absence of any Class Teachers across the school.
  • Assist the Class Teacher with carrying out the professional duties of a teacher.
  • Know and understand the Class Teacher's curriculum planning and to plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities.
  • Reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
  • Take an active role in key areas of responsibility across the school including displays and organising resources.
  • Develop and implement individual plans for pupils.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
  • GCSE pass above C grade 4 in English and Maths.
