Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Droitwich Dairy facility. As a key member of our Chill Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of our high-quality dairy products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually pack products into trolleys, ensuring they meet quality standards and highlighting any non-conformities.
  • Transport full and empty trolleys across the chill area.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including asset care and deep cleaning.
  • Ensure good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout your shift.
  • Participate in effective handovers between shifts and remain in the chill area until relieved.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and ensure it is up-to-date and available.
  • Operate the trolley wash and maintain an adequate supply of trolleys for fillers.
  • Lead by example, promoting behavioral safety and technical standards in support of company values and culture.
  • Carry out tasks requested by coordinators and team leaders.

Requirements

  • Previous manual packing experience is desirable but not necessary.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing daily production plans.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable initiative and prioritization skills.
  • Effective team worker.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Enhanced overtime rates, including double pay for bank holidays and 1.5 times basic salary for overtime.
