About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peripatetic Clinical Development Nurse to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical governance team, you will play a vital role in leading, supporting, and continuously improving the quality of care for residents across our Care Homes.

As a Peripatetic Clinical Development Nurse, you will be responsible for reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs of each home every month, analyzing the results, and identifying practical strategies to ensure all regulations are met and continuous improvement in the care delivered. You will work closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff in each home to support the continual improvement of standards and help implement key actions to address any issues which arise.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and has a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. You will have a proven track record of working in a care home environment and be a confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze clinical governance database and KPIs of each home every month
  • Identify practical strategies to ensure all regulations are met and continuous improvement in the care delivered
  • Work closely with Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff to support the continual improvement of standards
  • Implement key actions to address any issues which arise
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse RN (General) with a current NMC registration
  • Strong understanding of current regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record of working in a care home environment
  • Confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses
