Travel Sales Consultant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our team at a reputable Tour Operator based in the West End. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for servicing both direct clients and travel agent partners with a professional and friendly manner at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle inbound calls from direct clients and travel agents in a professional manner, responding to new booking enquiries and maximizing every sales opportunity.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services to customers, striving to achieve monthly sales targets across all products and customer types.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to discerning customers who book high-value trips, responding to new enquiry and callback requests in a timely manner.
  • Manage crisis events such as high and low water, flight changes, and non-operational tours, demonstrating the ability to multi-task between calls and emails.
  • Support with day-to-day tasks and data entry, using Microsoft programs such as Excel.
Requirements:
  • Strong focus on quality of service and quantity, with high attention to detail to ensure bookings are error-free.
  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the travel industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to be flexible and deal with non-sales workstreams when required.
  • Confident with Microsoft programs, with the ability to work in a pressured environment and adapt to the company culture.
