Role Overview
Academics is seeking a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join our team in Milton Keynes
- We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to support our students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health as well as Special Education Needs and Complex Needs.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Psychology and Criminology principles and be able to apply them in a teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with SEN and mental health needs in a specialist school setting
- Developing and implementing individualized learning plans to meet the needs of students
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Psychology or Criminology
- Experience working with students with SEN and mental health needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
