About the Team

AWD online is a leading recruitment agency specializing in sourcing candidates and advertising vacancies on multiple job boards for companies on a non-commission basis. We are proud to offer this exciting opportunity for a Special Educational Needs Lawyer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to provide expert knowledge on SEND laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and effective delivery of the SEND Service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge on SEND laws and regulations to support decision-making
• Manage all aspects of the SEND appeals process, from receipt to representation in tribunal hearings
• Collaborate with the SEND Management team to inform senior-level decision-making
• Gather and analyze complex case material to form considered judgements

Requirements

This role requires:
1. Education to degree level or equivalent
2. Significant experience in a SEND operational role
3. Ability to translate Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEN and disability case law into working practice
4. Proficient use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Benefits

AWD online offers a competitive salary range of £50,788 - £56,075 per annum, plus benefits including an annual leave entitlement of 31 days (rising to 36 days after 5 years continued local government service), an excellent local government pension scheme, and employee assistance programs.
