Rheumatology Specialist Registrar

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Registrar in Rheumatology to join our team at Medefer. As a Specialist Registrar, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our virtual outpatient service.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with patients remotely, obtaining detailed information about their condition, and following GP referrals to Medefer. You will work independently, managing your own caseload and prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Clerking patients within your specialty via telephone assessment, following a GP referral made to our Virtual Hospital.
- Discussing risks and benefits of surgical procedures or invasive tests with patients, documenting their agreement in principle.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' substantive experience working in the NHS in Rheumatology.
- Excellent time management, planning, and prioritizing skills.
- A strong interest in digital health, clinical informatics, and new ways of working.
