Gleeds Data Centres is recruiting ambitious and innovative quantity surveyors that want to be involved in shaping the future of data management and infrastructure.

In this role, you will work on high-profile projects, managing contracts from inception to completion. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of contracts, including tender evaluation and post-contract support
  • Operating with NEC forms of contract and bespoke forms
  • Leading clients to ensure work is done to specification and cost, seeking contract improvements
  • Stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of projects
  • Issuing/reviewing early warning notices
  • Priced and assessed compensation events
  • Monthly commercial reporting
  • Management of contractors and subcontractors accounts
  • Updating risk registers
  • Reviewing programmes
  • Issuing payment certificates and valuation assessments
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members

About You

We are looking for individuals with relevant experience in quantity surveying/commercial management, preferably in regulated environments like data centres, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, nuclear, infrastructure or petrochemical sectors.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Broad technical knowledge of procurement, supply chain, cost, and commercial management, ideally pre- and post-contract
  • Experience with standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite, and Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • Strong personal and communication skills, ambition, drive, and energy

Candidates with an HNC, HND, or degree in quantity surveying/cost management, construction law, or similar/related disciplines are preferred. Alternatively, applicants with alternative backgrounds may be considered.
