Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Advisor to join our Corporate Tax Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing UK tax functions, ensuring timely completion of tax returns, and managing compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • UK Corporate Tax Compliance
    • Prepare corporation tax and deferred tax figures and disclosures for incorporation in the UK statutory accounts.
    • Prepare UK corporation tax returns and computations, including double tax relief claims, rollover/holdover claims, group relief claims, patent box and research and development claims.
    • Prepare Overseas UK branch corporation tax returns and computations, liaising with advisors as required.
    • Advise on structuring and implications of commercial transactions, including cross-border transactions.
    • Assist with HMRC enquiries/audits as required.
    • Work with external providers on UK tax compliance and advisory matters.
  • UK Corporate Tax Administration
    • Work with the UK Tax Manager to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and proactively seek out and develop solutions to mitigate risks and identify opportunities.
    • Prepare and assist the wider Finance team with quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reporting requirements.
    • Prepare ad-hoc correspondence with HMRC.
    • Assist the UK Tax Manager in other activities relevant to this role as they arise.
Requirements
  • Excellent technical knowledge within UK corporate tax.
  • Previous experience in working in a company with multi-jurisdictional concerns or within an accountancy firm dealing with cross-border issues.
  • Tax software knowledge - Onesource (desirable).
  • Hybrid working and early finish on a Friday.
