Job Title: Senior Tax Advisor

NOV Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Advisor to join our Corporate Tax Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing UK tax functions, ensuring timely completion of UK corporation tax returns, and managing compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • UK corporate tax compliance and advisory activities, including preparation of corporation tax and deferred tax figures and disclosures for incorporation in the UK statutory accounts.
  • Preparation of UK corporation tax returns and computations for group, including double tax relief claims, rollover/holdover claims, group relief claims, patent box and research and development claims.
  • Assistance with HMRC enquiries/audits as required, and working with external providers on UK tax compliance and advisory matters.
  • Assistance with the UK VAT group maintenance, monthly VAT return process, and acting as a point of contact for VAT queries.
  • Managing all aspects of UK corporate tax administration, including preparation of estimates to support QIPs, calculating and arranging for re-allocation/repayment of QIP overpayments, and managing the UK group's GPA.
  • US GAAP reporting: preparation and assistance with quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc correspondence with HMRC, and supervising and developing more junior members of staff.
Requirements:
  • Qualified CA/CTA (essential)
  • Excellent technical knowledge within UK corporate tax (essential)
  • Previous experience in working in a company with multi-jurisdictional concerns, or within an accountancy firm dealing with cross-border issues (essential)
  • UK VAT knowledge (desirable)
  • Tax software knowledge - Onesource (desirable)
