Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Job

Type: Permanent, Location: Knottingley

We are seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in West Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a passionate engineering team of 6 and enjoy a flexible 3-shift rotation with 8-hour days, afternoons, and nights, with an early finish every Friday.

The role involves hands-on work holding responsibility for efficient repair and service of operational plant and equipment, including electrical and mechanical repairs, servicing and overhaul of plant and equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Repairing all plant breakdowns both electrical and mechanical
  2. Servicing and overhauling plant and equipment
  3. Applying mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles
  4. Participating in routine maintenance systems and executing corrective action/recommendations
  5. Ensuring all activity is in compliance with the company Environmental & Health & Safety Policy

To succeed as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will need:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar setting, ideally within industrial or manufacturing
  • A good mechanical knowledge including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience in fabrication and welding
  • Electrical competency including fault finding on control systems and automated 3 phase plant equipment
  • A positive proactive and flexible attitude towards work
  • A desire for improvement and change

The estimated salary for this role is approximately £41,764. Benefits include:
