**Combat Systems Design Specialist - Defence Industry Programme

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Combat Systems Design Specialist to join our client's team in Frimley. As a key member of the Systems Design team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to high-profile projects within the defence industry.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of the system model, assisting the Engineering Manager with key engineering tasks, and supporting the development of design solutions to complex technical problems. You will also ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive and understand contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the system model and champion MBSE within the programme.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with key engineering tasks and activities.
  • Support the development of design solutions to complex technical problems against agreed time, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive and captured within the requirements management tools.
  • Understand contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems and support the definition of associated acceptance criteria through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • Background in a STEM subject.
  • Proven ability to solve problems.
  • Extensive stakeholder management skills at all levels with the ability to influence.
