We offer a comprehensive service to our customers, from concept to completion, including computer-aided design, sheet metal work, conveyor solutions, fabrications, structural steelwork, laser cutting, site work, and machine maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled CAD design engineer with experience in sheet metal, stainless steel, and mechanical handling to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our production manager and managing director to design purpose-built equipment for our valued customers, taking their ideas from concept to full design ready for manufacture. The role involves: * Leading and controlling the design on multiple projects * Creating cost-effective solutions for current and new products * Designing complete systems, including sub-assemblies and mechanisms * Contributing to development activities * Validating designs through reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, and testing The ideal candidate will have: * A degree-level or equivalent design engineering qualification * Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks) * Experience in sheet metal, conveyor, and general equipment knowledge * Experience in testing and experimenting with prototypes * Experience within the food industry As an employee of LS Engineering Shropshire Ltd, you will enjoy: * Salary dependent on experience * Company Pension Plan with employer contribution * 28 Days annual leave, including bank holidays, with time-of-service bonuses available * Possible yearly bonuses dependent on personal and company performance * Health Insurance with Vitality after completion of probation * Life Assurance after 12 months service Join our team and take your career to the next level with LS Engineering Shropshire Ltd.
