About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Transformation Unit as a Patient Safety Lead. We are seeking an experienced professional to provide clinical leadership for the review and implementation of effective systems and procedures for the management of patient safety incidents, claims, and inquests within the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating all patient safety incident activity, including the development and implementation of policies, risk management strategies, training programs, and audit activity.
  • Providing clinical leadership for the review and implementation of effective systems and procedures for the management of patient safety incidents, claims, and inquests within the Trust.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current professional registration (Nurse, AHP, or Social Worker) with a regulatory body.
  • Postgraduate level qualification/training or equivalent work experience in clinical governance.
  • Teaching and training qualification.
  • Investigation/root cause analysis/human factors training.
