Job Summary

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Time and Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a Time and Recovery Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals who require assistance with their daily lives due to mental health issues. Your primary focus will be on helping these individuals navigate the complexities of mental health treatment and ensuring they receive the necessary support to recover from their illnesses.

In this role, you will be working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to assess risks and needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress. You will also be responsible for contributing to the creation and maintenance of high-performing teams by communicating effectively with colleagues, identifying areas for improvement, and taking ownership of your own practice.

As a Time and Recovery Specialist, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive therapeutic relationships with service users and carers. You should also have knowledge and understanding of recovery and social inclusion, as well as awareness of local services and resources. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the principles of adult safeguarding and be able to recognize and respond to situations where individuals may be at risk of abuse or neglect.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to assess risks and needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress

Qualifications and Experience

• NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent
• Relevant experience in a community setting, including lone working and experience of working with a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge and understanding of recovery and social inclusion
• Ability to listen effectively and communicate effectively at all levels
• Awareness of local services and resources
• Knowledge of benefits and employment systems
