Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead our Highways Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery on large or complex projects.

As a key client interface, you will ensure that client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets, as well as quality standards.

Senior Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically within the £10m to £25m range, and may involve advising on urban regeneration funding.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project management, including advising at a strategic level, preparing project requirements, and establishing success criteria.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules of activity and managing project information flow.
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks and planning risk mitigations.
  • Preparing formal project progress reports and interfacing with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

A Senior Project Manager will be judged by the extent to which projects are managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently, on time, and to budget, and project delivery meets client objectives.
