Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Product Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in Bridgnorth. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for taking new and existing concepts into production from CAD/CAM through to CNC Machining.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the introduction of new products and processes
  2. Liaise with suppliers for sub-contract processing
  3. Support costing of new work
  4. Setting and Operation of CNC machines for the prove out process of new products
  5. Manufacturing process planning
  6. CNC offline Program creation
  7. Program storage and management
  8. Training and instruction of others in offline programming
  9. CNC cutting tool selection and procurement
  10. Fixture design and procurement when appropriate
  11. Customer liaison on design for manufacture and general technical issues
  12. Data control, route cards, drawing control & control plans via NPI system
  13. Introduce and progress New Products through the shop

Requirements

  1. An apprenticeship or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical engineering with relevant manufacturing experience
  2. Experience and knowledge CAD / CAM
  3. In-depth knowledge of on line ISO programming
  4. An in-depth knowledge of technical drawings, Geometric tolerances and practices
  5. A good understanding of CMM inspection methods
  6. Self motivated and disciplined
  7. A confident communicator
  8. Able to motivate others
  9. Quality orientated
  10. Team player
  11. Solution provider and good researcher
  12. Flexible
