Saint Neots, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom Pico Technology Limited Full time

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Pico Technology Limited, a dedicated team where your contributions will directly impact the products we create and the customers we serve.

You'll have the freedom to innovate, the support to grow professionally, and the chance to work in a culture that values teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including flexible holidays, access to our three holiday homes, and an annual Profit Related Pay (PRP) bonus.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, influencing architectural decisions, and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to bring innovative solutions to life.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting and mentoring developers, taking ownership of the architecture, and helping drive continuous improvement. You'll refine and design features with Product Owners and Leads, provide reliable estimates, and contribute to research on new technologies or approaches.

In addition, you'll maintain high-quality standards by adhering to coding best practices, delivering work within set timelines, and engaging in code reviews. This role provides 'blue sky' time for professional development, giving you the chance to deepen your expertise and stay ahead of industry trends.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and mentoring a team of talented developers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in C# software development, ideally in a senior or technical lead role, and strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

You'll also need excellent team player skills, ability to propose alternative solutions and make informed technical decisions to improve developer and customer experience, and a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
