Job Title: Chief Safety Engineer - Sector Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Safety Engineer to lead our sector team in delivering complex products that are safe, secure, and highly reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of system safety professionals to deliver complex products
* Manage the Product Safety and Environmental Impact of the Sector's product portfolio
* Responsible for the monitoring and development of the capability (SQEP) of your team
* Delivery of safety programmes within the Sector to cost and schedule
* Ensure that processes, plans, and people are sufficient to achieve Military and/or Civil Type certification

Requirements:

* Demonstrable and relevant experience analysing complex systems from a Product Safety and Product Environmental Impact Management perspective
* Ability to scope and deliver high-quality outputs to time and cost against developed programmes of work
* Demonstrable experience using a range of safety tools and techniques
* Experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniorities
* A passion for promoting and improving the safety and security of complex systems
* A 2:1 or higher in a relevant engineering or science-based honours degree
