Charity Fundraising Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team at the Inverclyde Foodbank as a Charity Fundraising Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in your community and help us realize our ambition to ensure no one in our community is faced with the prospect of going hungry.

To continue supporting people in crisis and meet local need, we are seeking to increase our sustainability as an organization and grow income in the coming year. As a Charity Fundraising Coordinator, you will proactively create and grow fundraising income, supporting from individuals, local businesses, local grant funders, schools, community groups, and associations within and around Inverclyde.

You will be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships. You will have first-hand experience of fundraising and the capacity to create and deliver compelling fundraising activities that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to increase income and support the organization's sustainability
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community groups
• Research and identify new funding opportunities and partnerships
• Plan and deliver fundraising events and activities
• Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

• Proven experience in fundraising and community development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Location: This will be a hybrid role with the candidate spending 1 day a week minimum in either the church office or food bank in Greenock.
