We are looking for a talented Materials Engineering student to join our team in Daventry and contribute to the success of our Metrology and Metallurgical Laboratories.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Quality and develop your skills in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Quality Department to identify and resolve metallurgical issues affecting the Plant
  • Carrying out investigations and writing reports on engine components to support root cause failure analysis and drive corrective actions
  • Liaising with Quality, Engineering and Production Teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective problem-solving
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvements to lab processes and housekeeping to ensure a smooth-running laboratory
  • Engaging in Health and Safety initiatives related to the Laboratory such as Risk Assessments
Requirements:
  • Studying towards an Engineering Degree or equivalent in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
  • Good organisational and communication skills with experience of working in a laboratory environment

The estimated salary for this role is £22,000 - £27,000 per annum based on the location and industry standards.
