About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at Cluttons, a multi-faceted property consultancy with a strong presence in the UK. As a key member of our Building Surveying team, you will be responsible for managing design and construction works in the utility sector, supporting solar farms, battery storage sites, and electricity distribution infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage design and construction works for utility sector projects, including solar farms, battery storage sites, and electricity distribution infrastructure.
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Provide traditional building surveying services, including dilapidations, party wall, due diligence surveys, building pathology, condition surveys, reinstatement cost assessments, construction monitoring, and project management.
  • Collaborate with engineers, CAD designers, and external consultants to complete design projects, such as 50MW battery storage sites or solar farms.
Requirements
  • Relevant construction-related or building surveying degree.
  • Professional qualification, such as MRICS or similar.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Understanding of construction processes and technology.
  • Experience in undertaking building surveys for due diligence.
  • Understanding of contracts, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Good project management abilities.
  • Client-facing experience to meet with clients and contractors.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Packages and AutoCAD.
