About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Geriatric Mental Health Physician to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust.

Job Overview

This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment services for patients aged 65 and above in Ashford and Tenterden areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing senior medical leadership as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Conducting MCA and MHA assessments, attending complex case discussions, CPA and 117 review meetings
  • Contributing to team meetings, including performance and business meetings, and providing medical guidance to team members
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Excellent knowledge in Geriatric Mental Health, clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective, and wide medical knowledge
  • Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty, make decisions based on evidence and experience, and meet duties under MHA and MCA
