As a Technical ICT Support Specialist at Planet Recruitment, you will play a crucial part in supporting a primary school by managing customer accounts and maintaining IT hardware and software across multiple sites.
This role requires a passionate interest in IT, a solid technical background, and excellent communication and organisational skills. You should be self-driven, enthusiastic about offering exceptional customer service, and possess a cheerful disposition.
You will work independently, troubleshooting technical issues and identifying potential areas for improvement to enhance services provided by the team. This includes resolving and managing technical issues that impact school operations, installing or repairing computers with standardised applications and networking software, and responding to a wide range of technical duties associated with computer networks and desktop services.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years' experience working as an ICT Technician/2nd line in the education sector. However, this is not essential. If you have the ability to work independently, exhibit a flair for troubleshooting, and possess a proactive attitude towards enhancing services, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve and manage any technical issues that impact the running of the school's function by providing robust technical solutions.
- Installation or repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing, and solving problems that develop in their operations.
- Respond to a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, primarily in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations (Desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns, and hardware).
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working as an ICT Technician/2nd line in the education sector.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

- A competitive salary range of £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
