Cyber Researcher Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Researcher to join our team at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence. As a Cyber Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting research into a wide range of systems and technologies to identify and exploit weaknesses in their design or implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory research to identify new domains and provide domain knowledge for technical analysis and experimental development
  • Undertake vulnerability and technical research to identify and exploit weaknesses in systems and technologies
  • Develop, assess and prioritize prototype and simulated capabilities

Mandatory Skills and Experience

  • Technical writing and presentation skills
  • Innovative problem-solving and team-working skills
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of how computers work, including knowledge of programming languages and software development life cycles

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of network architecture and security, risk assessment and systems engineering
  • Experience with scripting languages, traffic capture and analysis tools, disassemblers, debuggers and decompilers
  • Understanding of processor architecture, operating systems and firmware, standard and domain-specific protocols and data formats
