Cyber Security Manager for eHealth Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead our eHealth IM&T Team at NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the required Cyber Security policies and standards are met and implemented, and continually monitored for effectiveness.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice to all stakeholders, including third parties, on Cyber Security best practices and legislative requirements.
  • Ensuring the integrity of NHS Dumfries & Galloway networks, systems, and information by assessing and mitigating cyber threats.
  • Working closely with eHealth Management and Technical Staff, Information Governance, and stakeholders to implement Cyber Security measures.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Client-facing experience working in a large organisation, preferably within the public sector.
  • Demonstrable experience relating to the role, with a focus on industry-specific best practices, threats, and regulations.
  • Demonstrable understanding of security industry frameworks, such as ISO27001, and their application within the public sector.
  • Negotiating skills to address the requirements of NHS Dumfries & Galloway, strategic partners, and suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of common security devices and systems, including Firewalls, Filters, and SIEM.

Candidates should be qualified to degree level or have equivalent experience, with specific Cyber Security qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP, being an advantage.
