Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our dynamic team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning hospital, which has been recognized for its excellent patient care and innovative approaches to healthcare. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including theatres, critical care, and pain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic services to patients, including elective and emergency procedures
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including anaesthetic registrars and junior doctors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Completion of a specialist training programme in anaesthesia
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
