About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Middle Grade Doctor to take on a developmental position within a Trust renowned for its commitment to excellence in patient care. As an Old Age Psychiatry Middle Grade Doctor, you will have the chance to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized assessment, treatment, and continuing care for older patients with dementia, memory problems, depression, and other psychiatric illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct new referral assessments, deliver therapy, and refer patients to psychology colleagues for relevant interventions.
  • Formulate care and treatment plans, prescribe treatment, and provide guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
  • Support patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain diagnoses and treatment options.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to prioritize patient needs and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Recognize, review, and report patient condition changes to the team.
Requirements
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent qualification.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
