About Our Client:

Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive building services across various sectors, including Rail Maintenance, Educational Facilities Management, Healthcare Construction, Civic Building, and Church Building.

Position Overview:

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is seeking a Wastewater Systems Engineer to join their skilled and knowledgeable team. The Wastewater Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the upkeep and repair of wastewater management systems. Responsibilities will include inspecting, cleaning, and diagnosing issues within the wastewater infrastructure, providing actionable recommendations for enhancements, and addressing urgent repair needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), remedial, and reactive tasks, ensuring timely completion of worksheets to meet client expectations.
  • Identify and diagnose system faults, delivering detailed reports on required rectifications.
  • Collaborate within a two-person team or work independently to perform pump station cleaning, drain and gulley cleaning, jetting, drainage CCTV inspections, and minor plumbing repairs.
  • Utilize the GTR Asset Pro live reporting system to ensure all assigned tasks are initiated and completed within the service level agreement.
  • Propose improvements for plant conditions and submit Life Expired reports as necessary.
  • Participate in training and Health and Safety courses as directed by the Contracts Manager.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive salary of up to £40,000, based on experience.
  • Standard working hours: 07:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with potential for occasional weekend work and callouts (once every four weeks, with a standby payment of £125).
  • Overtime compensation at a rate of 1.5x for hours worked outside standard hours and 2x for specific weekend hours.
  • Provision of a company vehicle and fuel card.
  • 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Auto-enrollment pension scheme (5% employee contribution, 3% employer contribution).

Position Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving license.
  • PTS qualification is desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
