About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Rehab Team based in Folkestone.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service to our patients, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless rehabilitation pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist knowledge in communication and dysphagia to clients presenting with stroke and other neurological conditions.
  • Be an integral member of the Community Neuro Team, working collaboratively with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and therapy assistants.
  • Provide line management and clinical supervision to SLTs and support workers as required.
  • Routinely take SLT students on placements and may take responsibility as Key Educator for the placement.

Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent at Level 6.
  • Relevant experience (ideally minimum 24 months) as a band 6 SLT working with an adult caseload and management of dysphagia.
  • Well-established knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions and competence to work independently with a well-developed level of clinical expertise relevant to the post.
