Role Summary

The Nursing Associate in Recovery role involves caring for adult and paediatric patients following surgery. This includes managing airways, monitoring vital signs, wound and pain management.

About the Role

This position provides the opportunity to develop skills and experience across the Recovery units in general, orthopaedic and women's health theatres. The post holder will have a comprehensive induction supported by colleagues and a named facilitator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage airways and monitor vital signs
  • Provide wound and pain management
  • Develop skills and experience across Recovery units

Requirements

  • Previous acute in-patient experience
  • Completed Level 5 Diploma for Assistant Practitioners in Healthcare or working as Band 4 with the level 4 Diploma for Assistant Practitioners in Healthcare

Working Pattern

Hours per week. Shifts over 3/4 days, some weekends and days
