Main Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Signals Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fixed traffic signals and associated equipment for Highways England or Local Authority clients. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality projects within the required timescales, ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and the public.

Key Requirements
  • Valid ECS/CSCS/HEA card
  • Electrically Qualified to BS 7671 wiring regulations (17th Edition)
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing

You will be working closely with our PFI Business Manager(s) and Traffic Signals Supervisor to produce and maintain our HEA/NHSS 8 Sector Scheme portfolio. Your ability to self-audit your work activities and complete maintenance/periodic inspections in line with the agreed schedule will be essential. You will also be responsible for carrying out installation and commissioning works to specified designs and standards.
