Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic doctor to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a clinical fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This non-training post offers a unique opportunity for professionals to gain experience and skills in complex obstetric surgery.

The ideal candidate will have completed their postgraduate training at least to the level of an ST3 specialty doctor or equivalent in obstetrics and gynaecology. They should possess or be eligible to apply for GMC Registration and demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of generic skills in complex obstetric surgery applicable to a wide range of situations
  • Exposure to diagnostic ultrasound scanning for PAS
  • Participation in the analysis of PAS outcome data with a view to publication
  • Helping with the development of educational materials for patients and clinicians focusing on both PAS and massive obstetric haemorrhage

Requirements:

  • Completion of Foundation competencies or equivalent
  • Basic Adult Life Support training within the past 12 months
  • MRCOG Part 1
  • Competencies equivalent to ST3 training
  • MRCOG part 2 exam
  • MRCOG part 3 exam

  • Research / Additional academic publications
