About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Planner - Solar & BESS Projects to join our team at OXBO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the planning process for our industry-leading Solar & BESS projects in the UK and further afield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the planning and permitting process for Solar & BESS projects.
  • Coordinating with design teams, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project delivery and progress.
  • Developing and implementing consenting strategies and engagement plans.
  • Managing the preparation of consent applications and advising on the planning aspects of complex schemes.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in planning and permitting for Solar & BESS projects.
  • Strong knowledge of English, Welsh, and Scottish planning particulars.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree and/or master's in town planning or a relevant degree, preferably with a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) qualification.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum
