Cleaning Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities- Lead and train a team of cleaning staff on best practices, equipment use, and safety protocols.
- Assign tasks, inspect work areas regularly, and report any issues to the relevant department.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Manage administrative duties, including scheduling, attendance, performance evaluations, and personnel matters.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address specialized cleaning needs and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize productivity while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors, addressing cleanliness-related concerns or inquiries effectively.
- Proven experience as a cleaning chargehand, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices, equipment, and chemicals.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff, students, and visitors.
- Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety precautions while operating them.
- A competitive salary of £18-£22 per hour.
