Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £80 - £100 per day
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support professional to join our client school in Chesterfield, where you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic and personal potential.
As a Behaviour Support, you will work closely with students exhibiting challenging behaviours, providing guidance and strategies to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond. You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them develop coping strategies and improve their behaviour.
- Assist in implementing individual behaviour plans and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistent support for students across all lessons.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents regarding behavioural improvements.
- Encourage the development of social skills and emotional resilience in students.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management is desirable but not essential.
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
