About the Role:
The Extracare Charitable Trust t/a Extracare Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Shop Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales and profit, managing a team of dedicated volunteers, and maintaining high visual standards in our charity shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Shop Manager in driving sales and profit through effective management and motivation of the team.
- Recruit, manage, and motivate a team of volunteers to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Sort and process stock, deal with customers, and maintain high visual standards in the shop.
- Run the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager.
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role.
- Ability to motivate and develop a team of volunteers.
- Hands-on approach, with creativity to come up with new ideas for generating donations.
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality, with a strong belief in teamwork.
- Previous experience working in the charity sector is desirable.
