About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Central Merchandising to join our dynamic Home & Clothing team at Tesco. This is a key role that will play a crucial part in driving the achievement of important metrics such as Sales, Margin, and Stock. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Finance teams to ensure the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective budgeting and forecasting processes to achieve financial targets.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the performance of financial critical metrics.
  3. Monitor and manage monthly forecasts to achieve budgeted financial metrics.
  4. Identify and prioritize short-term and long-term priorities to be delivered cross-functionally.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior partners within Home and Clothing.
  6. Improve Central Merchandise processes to achieve key performance targets.

Requirements
We are looking for someone with a strong background in merchandising roles in Home and/or Clothing, ideally with experience in Central Merchandising. The ideal candidate will have strong merchandise planning skills, with solid experience of delivering merchandising control. They will also have experience working cross-functionally and influencing senior collaborators. Strong communication skills and the ability to drive progress are essential for this role.
