Join Our Team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Leeds. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of our pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to pupils with SEN
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective pupil support
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of resources to support pupil learning
  • Provide positive behaviour management and support to pupils with challenging behaviour

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong Maths, English, and ICT skills
  • Experience working with pupils with moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, and behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • Ability to work proactively and as part of a team
