About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to play a dual role as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst, working closely with our team at NextRow Digital. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile methodologies and ensuring smooth project execution. As a Business Analyst, you will work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Scrum Master:
- Leverage Agile frameworks to drive time-boxed iterations called sprints.
- Support the Project Manager as needed to drive sprint planning, daily stands, sprint reviews, and retrospective scrum board administration.
- Help remove impediments and ensure team efficiency.
- Analyze business domain initiatives to identify epics and features requirements.
- Help the Product Owner develop and manage product strategy.
- Stock and groom the product catalog.
- Help break user stories into viable product (MVP).
- Help the development team understand the bigger picture.
- Convert business requirements into business process flows and functional requirements.
- Serve as Proxy Product Owner as needed.
Strong Communication Skills: As an Agile Business Analyst, you must be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, considering their needs and concerns while ensuring a shared understanding of the product vision and requirements.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Agile teams are cross-functional and self-organizing, requiring you to continuously self-reflect and think about how you can contribute to the team. You should be able to easily adapt to new and changing requirements by doing detailed analysis beforehand.
Knowledge of Different Tools and Techniques: Agile tools and techniques make the team more effective, helping to ease backlog management, provide time collaboration, make estimates, and reports for sprints and releases. A good grasp of the different tools and techniques available for Agile is a crucial skill in order to become an Agile Business Analyst.
Facilitation Skills: The ability to effectively facilitate meetings and scrum ceremonies is vital. Scrum Masters ensure these events run smoothly and focus on the intended outcomes.
Technical Knowledge: While not mandatory, having a technical background can be beneficial, especially when working with development teams. It allows Scrum Masters to better understand the technical challenges faced by the team.
Scrum Framework: SME in Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools.
Certifications: Required: CSM (Certified Scrum Master). Desired: Product Owner.
