Lead Contract Administrator

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to work on a unique project in Devon. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project, including contract administration, procurement, and risk management.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading construction main contractor on a high-profile project in the region. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract administration, procurement, and change management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial aspects of the project, including contract administration, procurement, and risk management
- Provide accurate and timely updates on package summary sheets
- Produce cash and turnover forecasts per package
- Take overall responsibility for external, internal, and package risk and opportunity schedules
- Support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise
- Assist the procurement team in producing package procurement documents as required
- Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Implement policies for risk management
- Prepare Subcontract Final Accounts for review and sign-off
- Preparation and presentation of monthly Cost Reports
- Value works executed by Sub-Contractors
- Certify interim and final payments
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in senior commercial role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement, and change management processes
- In-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and valuation processes
- Proficiency in using Excel and project management tools
- Relevant driving licence
The estimated salary for this role is around £55,000-£60,000 per annum based on the location and industry standards.
