We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Assistant Manager to support our site operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the site manager in ensuring that the onsite construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these, in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site's workload and resources to deliver to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the site manager in managing residential build projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities, and are equipped to deliver their tasks efficiently.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the onsite construction team.
  • Organise and coordinate the site's workload and resources to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met, and that the site is maintained in a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of residential builds and working to build programmes and budgets.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and implementation of health & safety requirements for all on-site activities.
  • Experience of managing a diverse workforce, including subcontractors.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving targets.
  • Ability to deliver services of a high standard with a commitment to customer care.
  • IT skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
  • A professional qualification in a construction discipline would be a distinct advantage.
