The Role

As a Mortgage Underwriter at Chetwood Financial Bank, you'll play a vital role in assessing risk and underwriting mortgage applications. You'll need to stay up-to-date with lending policy, credit frameworks, and regulatory requirements, ensuring you provide expert guidance to customers, brokers, and solicitors.

  • Analyse complex documentation, including credit bureau reports, payslips, and bank statements, to ensure compliance with lending policies.
  • Deliver timely and effective guidance to customers, brokers, and solicitors on mortgage applications and internal processes.
Requirements

You'll need a minimum of 5 years' experience in mortgage underwriting, with a solid understanding of FCA /PRA regulations and mortgage requirements. A flexible and proactive approach is essential, as well as excellent communication skills.
