Job Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at AECOM, you will play a key role in shaping the future of water infrastructure. Our dynamic Water Engineering team is seeking a talented professional to join our rapidly growing Edinburgh office, offering a flexible hybrid working model and a wide range of benefits.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and review of Mechanical elements in wastewater and water infrastructure treatment projects, including chemical dosing, pumping stations, and sludge treatment units.
  • Produce and review client deliverables, such as calculations, drawings, and technical reports, to relevant standards and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of bids using internal systems and operations.
  • Mentor junior staff and delegate tasks, direct, and oversee their work.

Requirements

  • BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
  • Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
  • Experience managing projects, delegating tasks, and technical mentoring within water and wastewater.
