Remote Scientific Instrumentation Support Role

We have an opening for a skilled Electromechanical Engineer to work on lab equipment, based remotely from your home office address with occasional trips to the West Midlands office and lab.

This role involves visiting UK customers to offer installation, servicing and repair of a range of different scientific instrumentation and lab equipment. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will play a key part in ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service.

The salary for this position is £30k-£42k (dependent on experience), plus benefits including a company car, laptop, phone etc + expenses.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • BTEC/ONC/HNC/HND or above qualification in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical)
  • All-round knowledge of Electrical / Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
  • Recent and relevant experience working as a Field Service Engineer / Installation & Commissioning Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer or Equipment Engineer ideally in scientific instruments, lab equipment, medical devices, R&D equipment, etc.
  • Computer literate in applications such as MS Office, Word & Excel
  • Practical, self-sufficient, self-starter with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with clients at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence.
