Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Risk Specialist to join our Clinical Risk team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading defendant clinical negligence and medical malpractice team in the UK.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in law, excellent technical skills, and the ability to adopt a commercial perspective when dealing with complex legal issues. They will be highly client-focused, able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day matters.

The main responsibilities of this role include assisting team members with high-value caseloads, running own caseloads of limited instruction matters for NHS Resolution, and managing pre-action medical malpractice matters.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist team members with disclosure issues, drafting cost budgets, and instructing experts and counsel.
  • Run own caseload of limited instruction matters for NHS Resolution, involving organising medical records, instructing experts, and drafting short reports.
  • Manage own caseload of pre-action medical malpractice matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex legal issues and be able to demonstrate a commercial perspective rather than an 'academic' approach. They will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering exceptional results.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career development.
