What you'll do
SAP has combined and harmonized all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

In this role, you will join the SAP Sovereign Cloud Engineering team. You will work closely with product and program managers, developers, and architects of all SaaS Platforms and be a key contributor in a large organization responsible for the engineering and evolution of SAP Sovereign Cloud's product portfolio. You will have the opportunity to solve complex challenges of scale and security unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud. You will engage closely with the SAP Sovereign Cloud Operations, Platform, and Application engineering teams and jointly help ensure that relevant SAP product development teams can execute against their requirements backlog derived from government security control frameworks.

In the role of Expert SAP Basis Consultant, you will:

  • Work on technology projects – installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, conversion, greenfield implementation, integration with other systems.
  • Provide BASIS support for projects involving S/4HANA.
  • Provide architectural guidance on cloud migration (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Design end-to-end security for SAP on-premise and SAP Cloud-based applications, including two-factor authentication and single sign-on from anywhere on any device.
  • Troubleshoot/analyze and resolve technical problems.
  • Manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs.
  • Adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while working under deadlines.
  • Build credible relationships with peers and clients, and continuously learn about SAP products.

What you bring:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar areas.
  • 10+ years of related professional experience working across a range of implementations, upgrade, and migration projects.
  • Experience of working in large landscapes/environments/customers.
  • SAP Basis and Security Authentication – Strong Knowledge and Hands-on experience on Technical Planning, Installations, Upgrades, OS/DB Migrations, Unicode Conversions, S/4HANA.
  • Technically fluent in:
    • Operating System (Unix/Windows/Linux) and database administration.
    • SAP HANA scale-out and standalone deployment, administration, and optimization experience and knowledge.
    • Cloud Knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge/Experience in performance tuning, User Management, System copies.
  • SAP Certifications in S/4HANA, OS/DB Migration, NetWeaver, or SAP HANA preferred.
  • Hands-on Experience with LAMA, FRUN, and SPC is an added advantage and preferable.
