We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrialisation Manager Polymer Materials Scientist to join our team at Victrex Sustainable Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for the performance evaluation, quality, and testing of PEEK polymer and components used in thermoplastic composite pipes and hybrid flexible pipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the performance evaluation, quality, and testing of PEEK polymer and components used in thermoplastic composite pipes and hybrid flexible pipes.
  • Focus on key components such as extruded PEEK pipe ("Liner") and unidirectional-oriented continuous carbon-fibre reinforced PEEK tapes ("UD Tape"), including multilayer composite structures.
  • Act as a primary contact for internal and external customers for the thermoplastic composites pipes program.
  • Collaborate closely with senior technical experts internally and externally to support the successful qualification and commercial adoption of thermoplastic composite pipes and hybrid flexible pipes.
  • Coordinate and manage quality initiatives, including specification setting and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Fundamental polymer/materials science background with an emphasis on physical and mechanical properties.
  • Experience with composites is preferable.
  • Experience interpreting statistical data.
  • Project management skills.
